Bible Study: Across the Aisle

Across the Aisle is a discussion-based study for college students who want to better understand what makes different Christian traditions unique—and where we share common ground.

Each week, we’ll take a closer look at major branches of Christianity, including Baptist/Evangelical, Catholic, and Presbyterian and our own tradition, United Methodist. Through honest conversations and respectful curiosity, we’ll explore differences in theology, worship, sacraments, and church structure—while asking: What can we learn from one another? How do we stay rooted in our own tradition while honoring others?

This study isn’t about proving who’s “right.” It’s about growing in faith, deepening understanding, and learning how to have thoughtful, grace-filled conversations with Christians who sit “across the aisle.”

Debunking the Rapture

Many Christians have been taught to fear the end times, but what if the rapture isn't biblical at all? Join us as we explore this question through the teachings of Rev. Dr. Barbara Rossing, New Testament scholar and author of The Rapture Exposed.

Dr. Rossing invites us to move beyond fear-based theology and return to the heart of Jesus’ message: love, justice, and healing for the world. Together, we’ll examine Scripture with fresh eyes and seek a deeper, more faithful understanding of Christian hope.

Come with open hearts and minds as we reclaim a vision of God's future rooted in grace—not fear.
