Service Opportunities

Monthly Service Projects – Second Saturdays
Every second Saturday of the month, our community comes together to serve. We partner with United Methodist extension ministries and local nonprofits to support meaningful work happening in and around Tulsa. These projects are hands-on, heart-led opportunities to connect your faith with action. No experience necessary, just come ready to serve and build community.

Additional Service Opportunities
Looking to serve more often? We also offer smaller, informal service projects throughout the semester. These might include things like stuffing Easter eggs for a community event, wrapping gifts for Angel tree kids, or writing thank-you cards for local teachers. Keep an eye out for these opportunities as they pop up!

Check out what we’ll be doing this fall!

September Service (Saturday, 9/13)
TYPROS 918 Service Day | 9am-12pm

Sign-up and join us for Tulsa’s Young Professionals (TYPROS) Service Day! This organization creates opportunities for young professionals to connect and serve in the Tulsa community. We’ll have opportunities to serve with organizations all over Tulsa. Please dress comfortably, with clothes you aren't afraid to mess up, and with closed toed shoes for all opportunities.

After we serve, plan to join us for tailgating for the TU/Navy football game starting at 4pm!

October Service (Saturday, 10/11)
Trunk-or-Treat at UUMC | 5:30-8pm

Each October, University UMC hosts a trunk-or-treat and vendor market for the surrounding community. Join us as we host a Wesley trunk, hand out candy, and help facilitate games for kids and families. It’s a simple way to serve and show hospitality to our neighbors.

October Service (Tuesday, 10/28)
The Pumpkin Project | 6-8pm

The Pumpkin Project is a community service initiative that brings a bit of Halloween joy to home-bound seniors. Volunteers paint and decorate pumpkins, then the Wesley will deliver them to older adults who may be isolated or unable to leave their homes. It’s a simple gesture that brings color, connection, and seasonal cheer to those who might otherwise feel forgotten during the holiday.

November Service (Saturday, 11/8)
Restore Hope Ministries

This November, we’re partnering with Restore Hope Ministries to support their mission of restoring families in financial crisis to economic and spiritual vitality. Their work focuses on three key areas: hunger reduction, homeless prevention, and emotional and spiritual nurture. By helping package Thanksgiving food baskets or shelf-stable groceries, we’ll play a small but meaningful role in their larger mission of equipping families and mobilizing congregations to serve.

In addition to our on-site service day, we’ll also be collecting peanut butter throughout the month of November.
