Join Our Book Club!

Each month, a group of NE District young adults meet after church for lunch to discuss a book (unless otherwise indicated!). Here is what we will be reading this summer and fall!

SUMMER READ

June & July - The Lion Women of Tehran by Marjan Kamali

We will be gathering to hear Marjan Kamali answer questions from the audience and sign books on Friday, July 31 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Central Library. We’ll have dinner before at Nola’s Creole & Cocktails at 5pm.

FALL READS

November & December - The Harlem Shuffle by Colson Whitehead

SAVE THE DATE: Colson Whitehead is this year’s winner of the 2026 Peggy V. Helmerich Distinguished Author Award. We will be attending the free Public Presentation and Book Signing on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 5:30pm at the Central Library. We’ll grab dinner before!
